MA JOURNALISM AND MASS COMMUNICATION

The PG Programme in Journalism and Mass Communication would equip students to enter the media profession or to take up other employment. The programme also envisages the inculcation of human values in the learner. The primary aim of the course is to train the students to inform the mass about the news and events happening in their community, country and world. The programme includes Journalism and Media Studies, Visual Communication, Public Relations, Advertising, Mass Media Research, Online Journalism and allied areas along with specific thurst on language studies through complimentary courses. The course gives the theoritical as well as practical inputs to Mass Communication students in print and visual media through news paper production, production of short films, public service advertisements, documentaries and news bulletin producton.
