NATIONAL SEMINAR ON “PHYTOCHEMICALS IN CANCER THERAPEUTICS” ( Special )

The Department of Botany, St. Joseph’s College (Autonomous) Irinjalakuda, organized a National Seminar entitled “Phytochemicals in Cancer Therapeutics” on July 19, 2019. The meeting started with a welcome note by the Programme convenor Prof. K.M. James followed by the presidential address of Dr. Sr. Isabel, Principal, St. Joseph’s College, Irinjalakuda. The formal inauguration of National Seminar was done by the guest of honour Dr. Ajaikumar B. Kunnumakkara (Associate Professor, Department of Biosciences and Bioengineering Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, Assam) by lighting the traditional lamp. In the brief inaugural address of Dr. Ajaikumar, he stressed the need and relevance of Phytochemicals in Cancer Therapeutics. The self – financing coordinator Dr. Sr. Rose Bastin gave felicitation and the meeting concluded with the vote of thanks by Dr. Roselin Alex (Associate Professor, Department of Botany, St. Joseph’s College, Irinjalakuda).
