Herbarium

Herbarium of Plant specimens

Herbarium is a store house of dried and pressed plant specimen collected from different places, mounded on appropriate sheets, arranged according to a system of classification and kept in pigeon holes of sheer or wooden cupboards for future reference and study.

Each specimen in the herbarium is properly labeled and label bear details such as scientific name of the species and family, the date and place of collection, the name of the collector, notes etc. There are more than 3000 herbarium sheets are kept in our lab.
