In connection with human rights day, Department of commerce organized a group discussion on the topic “Right to education” on December 9, 2016
The right to education is a human right and indispensable for the
exercise of other human rights. Quality education aims to ensure the development of a fully-rounded
human being. It is one of the most powerful tools in lifting socially excluded
children and adults out of poverty and into society. The 86th amendment
to the constitution of India in 2002 provided Right to Education as a fundamental right in part-III of the Constitution. The same
amendment inserted Article 21A which made Right to Education a fundamental right for children between 6-14 years
In connection with human rights day, Department of commerce organized a
group discussion on the topic “Right to education” on December 9, 2016. Second
year B com students were divided in to different groups and they discussed
about the topic.
After the discussion the leaders of the groups presented their ideas.
