The Research Department of Commerce organized an international webinar on Research Article Writing and Publishing on December 21,2021 via google meet at 10.00 a.m. The webinar started with prayer by Ms Neeba Sabu of first M Com.Ms Remya.S, Assistant Professor of Research Department of Commerce welcomed the gathering. The first technical session was headed by Dr Justin Paul. He talked about how to publish in Top rated Journals.Dr Justin is the Professor and Director of research at University of Puertco Rico and he is also a distinguished Professor with IIM and Symbiosis Institute of Business Management (Pune) India. He is also a visiting Professor at Henley Business School and a member of the centre for Euro Asian studies. He is ranked among the world’s top 1% of highly cited researchers and is an author of over 150 research papers in Social sciences Citation Index journals. He is profoundly famous for his most downloaded systematic literature reviews and for introducing the Conservative, Predictable and Pace maker model for firm internationalization and the strategies to analyse the challenges, opportunities and problems to succeed in exporting framework for small firms. He also established Masstige model and 7-P framework for international marketing. He serves as the Editor in chief of the International Journal of Consumer studies with high impact factor and A rank in ABDC Journals and is an associate editor with the Journal of Business Research, The European Management Journal and Journal of Strategic marketing. He is the author and co-author of various books. The talk was very inspiring and enlightening. The second technical session was headed by Dr Shaheema Hameed on the topic how to write an impactful Research paper.Dr. Shaheema Hameed works as Curriculum Developer at Aspire Academy for Sport Excellence under the Aspire Zone Foundation in Doha. She transitioned into the corporate sector after completing nearly 11 years in academia. She is an accomplished researcher and a passionate teacher who has published research under reputed names like Springer and Emerald. She also spearheads the Global Generation Z research, the largest demographic survey on Generation Z in the world, as Country Liaison (India). Prior to joining Aspire Academy, she worked as Assistant Professor for Banasthali Vidyapith, Rajasthan the world’s largest residential women’s university. She has published 21 research papers, presented them at 23 conferences and has organized and participated in 11 workshops and seminars. In addition to holding a PhD which was obtained under the Government of India’s UGC NET JRF Research Fellow scheme, she is also an MBA specializing in Human Resource Management, Business Research, Business Communication and soft skills development. Additionally, she is also an accredited Trainer of English to Speakers of Other Languages under the American TESOL Institute. She has won several awards in National and International conferences and some among them are Best theme Paper award of Indian Society of Training and Development Cochin, Best paper award Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia for study on sustainable practices of Generation Z, Best research paper award of Symbiosis Institute of Management studies Pune. She gave deep insight into the topics and revealed some interesting facts. As a token of love, a momento and certificate was given to Dr Shaheema by Dr Sr Elaiza, HOD and Vice principal of the college. The participants were asked to fill the feedback form and all the participants were given E certificates. The google meet link was created and registration link was created one week before the webinar. Participants were asked to join What’s app group. The webinar ended with formal vote of Thanks by Ms Soumya Stephen A, Assistant Professor of Research Department of commerce. The program was anchored by Bhagyalakshmi of Second M Com. Ms Elizabeth Paul, and Ms Sherline T.I Assistant Professors, Research Department of Commerce were given the charge of guest room. Conference hall was booked for resource person streaming. Mr Siby Linson and Ms Rupini T.S were in charge of technical session. The brochure was designed by Ms Akhila V.B of third B Com. The invitation letter was sent to resource persons before the webinar. The participants from all over India made this program a resound success.
