                 On 28th June 2021, National Insurance Awareness day was celebrated by the Research Department of Commerce of St. Joseph’s College (Autonomous), Irinjalakuda .Insurance is one of those things we forget about until we need it, kind of like a spare tire. This is why National Insurance Awareness Day exists and is celebrated every year on June 28.In the time of the pandemic, the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI) has introduced several policies to offer policyholders desired coverage; to make insurance plans relevant to consumers’ needs; to increase the penetration of insurance in India.For this several policies like Saral Jeevan Bima in Life,Arogya Sanjeevani policy,Corona Kavach policy,etc in Health and Pay –as-you-use cover policy in Motor was introduced for the benefit of policyholders since the last year.To celebrate this day students of III DC B.COM Angel Alfred ,Anjali T.P. and Aghila V.B. organised a quiz competition  to make students aware about importance of Insurance sector and policies. There were total 10 questions carrying 2 marks each. The competition had a great  impact on students by making them aware about insurance sector and various policies available. Knowing your options gives you the most power and the best chance to save money. The competition had a great success and was really informative.
