In the academic year 2020-21, the Department of Mathematics, St. Joseph’s College (Autonomous) Irinjalakuda, arranged a webinar on the topic  “Geometry” in connection with SIM club inauguration, on 2nd October 2020 through online platform. Programme started with welcome by Ms. Baby A. K. Assistant Professor, Department of Mathematics. Dr. Sr. Asha delivered presidential speech. Ms. Dhanya Introduced the speaker of the day. The talk was delivered by Prof.Subrahmanian Moosath K. S., Department of Mathematics, Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology, Thiruvanathapuram. In this talk the speaker focused on discrete geometry, computational geometry and algorithmic real algebraic geometry. He also explained about the applications of geometry and its significance. The programme was attended by post graduate and final year under graduate students of the department.
