M.Sc. Zoology
Master of Science in Zoology is a two-year postgraduate programme focused on professional development. It includes didactic teaching, practical teaching and learning, seminar presentations, project work etc. The programme covers important life science areas such as Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Systematics, Evolution, Developmental Biology, Physiology, Microbiology and Biotechnology. Human Genetics is the elective course that encompasses Clinical Genetics, Diagnostic Genetics, and Cancer Genetics and Genetic services which are dealt in the third and fourth semesters. M.Sc. Zoology programme also includes practical in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Immunology and Human Genetics. The programme demands a project report to be submitted to the university. The students have an opportunity to work in reputed research institutions during their project period. The course is designed specifically for those who want to improve their knowledge in life sciences.
A graduate degree in Zoology with at least 50% or higher marks is required to pursue M.Sc. Zoology.
