Subedar Major and Honorary Lieutenant Yogendra Singh
Yadav PVC is a junior commissioned officer in the Indian Army.
He was awarded the highest Indian military honor decoration,
the Param Vir Chakra in the year 1999, for his action in the Kargil
War. He is the youngest person to be awarded the medal. He
inaugurated the Wall of Valour designed by the NCC cadets of
St.Joseph's College (Autonomous) Irinjalakuda, in the year 2018.
That day was more special to the cadets as that was his first visit
to Kerala. The NCC cadets of St.Joseph's College (Autonomous)
Irinjalakuda celebrated the birthday of the great war hero on
10th May 2021. The celebration was conducted through an online
platform.
As a part of the celebration, the NCC cadets of
St.Joseph's College (Autonomous) Irinjalakuda wished him a
joyous Birthday, which was presented through a video and
posted on social media. Through the video, the cadets wished
the great hero his 41st birthday. The cadets were extremely
happy, as they got a reply from him as soon as the video was
sent. "Cadet ko meri taraf se bahut bahut dhanyvad kahiyega"
was his reply.
