Commemorating the 75th Independence Day, the Cadets in collaboration with FIT INDIA MISSION encouraged people to get freedom from obesity, laziness, stress, and anxiety.
FIT INDIA FREEDOM RUN 2.0
Fit India Freedom Run 2.0 was an intiative of the Central Government of India. To celebrate the Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav, Union Minister of Youth Affairs and sports, Anurag Thakur, launched a nationwide program of Fit India Freedom Run 2.0 on 13th August which extended up to 2nd October 2021. The union sports minister said the program has been launched at 75 iconic locations. Following this, the All India Council for Technical Education requested the participation of Higher Education Institutes in this event.
The run witnessed the participation of all the NCC cadets of St. Joseph's College (Autonomous), Irinjalakuda, running a minimum distance of 5 km. The cadets were awarded certificates for the same. The run encouraged fitness and helped the participants relieve obesity, laziness, stress, and anxiety.
