2022

  • St. Joseph’s College (Autonomous), Irinjalakuda has been recognized in the band Performer as per ATAL Rankings.

  • The College has been elevated to the band of 100-150 in NIRF Rankings.

  • India Today National Survey identified St. Joseph’s College as the 74th Best College to offer B.Sc Courses.

  • The College was certified as a Green Office with A grade by Haritha Kerala Mission.

  • The College received “Vidhya Shreshta” Award for Excellence from Lion’s Club International for Outstanding Covid Relief Activities conducted by faculty, staff and NCC volunteers.

  • Aneesha M, Anjali S and Seeya Metilda Baiju of II BA English won the Gold, Silver and Bronze Medals respectively at the Asian Junior Power lifting Championship held at Turkey. Aneesha M was crowned the Best Lifter, thus becoming the First Indian Player to win the title.

  • 60 National and International Webinars were conducted by various Departments and Committees.

  • Ms. Isha Farha Quraeshy from the Department of Botany (2006-2009 Batch) was elected as Best Alumna for her achievements.

  • The College is to set up a state-of-the-art media lab with 50 computers.

  • Dr. Binu T. V won the award for Best NSS Programme Officer in the Calicut University. St. Joseph’s College was selected as Best NSS Unit.

  • Seed Money has been given by the management to 16 faculty and 58 students to motivate their research aptitude.

2021

  • Research Guideship awarded to Dr Binu T.V, Department of Botany. 

  • Best Female NSS Volunteer Award to Ms.Aswathy N C from History Department.

  • An array of academic activities which include 18 International Webinars and 13 National Webinars organized irrespective of Covid induced restrictions.

  • National Level Faculty Development Program “Teaching and Learning in the Post Covid Era” was organised in association with GAD-TLC, MHRD under the scheme PMMMNMTT with more than 200 participants from all around  the country.

  • Two new permanent faculty appointed.

  • Rs 1,35,300 was raised by college Alumnae to buy cell phones for the needy students as part of “A Phone to Learn” project during the pandemic situation, to facilitate online learning. 

  • Ms. Parvathi Arul Joshi of 1st MSc Chemistry became the Malappuram district winner of NATIONAL YOUTH PARLIAMENT 2021.

  • The fully equipped studio of the college I-LAB was  blessed

  • College won the campus overall second prize in ‘Rang”, Kerala’s largest virtual youth festival organized by Kites foundation.

  • Award of international project by Randox, UK to CDRL
