India celebrated its 75th Independence Day as ‘Azadi Ka Amrith Mahotshav' to
commemorate its freedom. St.Joseph's College (Autonomous) Irinjalakuda,
celebrated the 75th Independence Day on 15th August 2022 with great patriotic
fervour and zeal.Rtd.Nayib Subedar P K Padmanabhan was the Chief guest who accompanied by Principal Dr. Sr. Eliza and ANO Captain Litty Chacko . NCC cadets of St. Joseph's College (Autonomous) Irinjalakuda, escorted the guest with rifle parade and marched out in a procession in the courtyard of the college. Rtd. Nayib Subedar P K Padmanabhan hoisted the national flag on the college flag post. All the cadets, students and staffs saluted the flag and then sang the National Anthem. Principal Dr. Sr. Eliza delivered a patriotic speech.Everyone’s hearts were moved with the delivery of P K Padmanabhan Sir's deeply enriching and patriotic speech. At the end of the his speech, he honored ANO Captain Litty Chacko with a ponnada for her Captaincy. After that he inaugurated the freedom wall prepared by NCC cadets and NSS volunteers. Then followed the cultural programmes prepared by students and NSS volunteers. In the end of the ceremony sweets were distributed among the students.
