As a part of World AIDS Day on 1-12-2021 , the NCC cadets of St.Joseph’s College (Autonomous) Irinjalakuda has conducted a program to spread awareness about HIV . The program started with a short speech delivered by Cadet Dona Mariya about the importance of AIDS day . Then the program was inaugurated by the college principal Dr. Sr. Asha Therese by receiving the AIDS symbol from the cadets. The symbol of AIDS was distributed among the teachers and students of the college. The aim of this program was to make aware the youth of the status of the pandemic and encourage progress in HIV/AIDS prevention, treatment, and care around the world. This year the theme of the day is "End Inequalities, End AIDS", highlighting that as much as the virus itself, the social stigma attached to it also greatly affects people.
