Physics Lab
Physics Lab
The Department of Physics facilitates six laboratories; B.Sc. Physics Main Lab, B. Sc. Physics Complementary Lab, Optical Lab, Ballistic Galvanometer Lab, M. Sc. Physics Modern Physics Lab and M. Sc. Physics Electronics Lab. These laboratories assist students for their undergraduate and postgraduate lab courses in Physics. The labs are spacious, well-maintained and well-equipped with lab apparatus and instruments such as Cathode Ray Oscilloscopes, Function generators, Power supplies, IC trainer kits, Hall Apparatus, GM Counters, Mode Constant apparatus, Thermocouples, Spectrometers, optical components, Ballistic Galvanometer arrangements, Travelling microscopes, Potentiometers, Lasers, Computers, etc. The experiments are broadly based on areas of General Physics, Optics, Thermal Physics, Electronics, Semiconductor Physics and Computational Physics. Students engage themselves in experiential learning by doing experiments on ideas that are taught in the first, second and third year of Physics courses in their respective programmes.
