Research committee,the prime body to promote Research and Consultancy is constituted as follows Principal (Chairperson), Vice Principals, Deans, Nodal Officer Research (Coordinator), Office Superintendent, College Bursar, Librarian, one member from each Research departments, two research scholars (nominated by Principal) and IQAC Coordinator.
Roles and Responsibilities
Research Committee or Equivalent Body Responsible for Policy Implementation
- Formulate and implement institutional policies and guidelines related to research conduct, ethics, and integrity.
- Oversee the allocation and optimal utilization of research funds, resources, and facilities.
- Review and approve research proposals to ensure compliance with institutional, ethical, and regulatory standards.
- Provide guidance and support to researchers in addressing ethical dilemmas and resolving research-related concerns.
- Monitor and evaluate ongoing research activities to ensure adherence to ethical norms and to promote a culture of research excellence.
Department Heads and Research Supervisors
- Provide effective mentorship, academic guidance, and professional support to researchers within their respective departments or research groups.
- Facilitate access to research resources, laboratory facilities, and potential funding opportunities.
- Review, evaluate, and offer constructive feedback on research proposals, project plans, and manuscripts.
- Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and innovative research environment that encourages academic growth and interdisciplinary engagement.
- Advocate for the professional development, recognition, and visibility of researchers within the institution and the wider academic community
- Researchers
- Uphold the highest standards of ethical conduct, integrity, and professionalism in all research activities.
- Design and conduct research with rigor, transparency, and reproducibility, ensuring the validity and reliability of findings.
- Obtain all necessary ethical and institutional approvals prior to initiating studies involving human participants or animal subjects.
- Maintain accurate, complete, and verifiable records of research design, data collection, and analysis procedures.
- Disseminate research outcomes responsibly through peer-reviewed publications, conferences, and other scholarly platforms.
- Acknowledge appropriately all sources of funding, data, and intellectual contributions.
- Engage in continuous learning through professional development and training activities to remain informed about emerging ethical standards, methodologies, and best practices in research.
