The Department of Biotechnology has been recognized as a Research Centre under the University of Calicut in 2025. This recognition marks a significant milestone in the department’s ongoing pursuit of excellence in teaching, research, and innovation in biotechnology.
The department houses well-established research laboratories with modern infrastructure and advanced instrumentation to support high-quality research and training. The facilities are well-equipped for Plant Tissue Culture and Microbial Biotechnology studies.
