B. Sc. Physics

Department of Physics offers a three-year Bachelor’s degree in Physics with Mathematics and Computer Science as complementary subjects. This programme is highly sought after as has led students to better placement oppurtunities in various employment sectors.

Complimentary course in Physics

Department of Physics offers Complementary courses for the students undergoing B. Sc. Chemistry programme. There are five courses that are spread over four semesters with each theory course in each semester and laboratory course spread in all semesters. Practical examination will be held towards the end of their fourth semester.

Open course in ‘Non-Conventional Energy Resources’

Department of Physics offers an open course in ‘Non-conventional Energy Sources’ to students from other departments as part of their course in their fifth semester.

M. Sc. Physics

Department of Physics offers a two-year Master’s degree in Physics with Electronics as specialization. Students are provided with oppurtunities to do internships as part of their student project at other R&D instituions.

Maintenance of Electronic and Electrical Equipments

The students are given a thorough insight into various aspects of electricity and electronics,both through theory and practical.They are learning from the basis to complicated circuits,ie. checking electronics elements to construct projects like Music Bell,Electronic Harmonium, CFL adapter ,Emergency lamp etc.Apart from constructing,they also learn how to repair motors,fuses.They also learn how to do simple wiring which is a part of every day life.
